Acox Named Named One of 50 Most Influential Musicians in Seattle History

The weather outside was frightful, but the sounds inside the Center House were delightful.

Friday night, Garfield Jazz Ensemble I and guest artists Trish Hatley (vocals), Butch Harrison (vocals and trumpet), Bernie Jacobs (vocals and flute), and Bill Ramsey (alto sax) played to an enthusiastic audience at Seattle Center's "Winterfest."

Ensemble II followed up with a wonderful performance on the same stage on Saturday. Both ensembles delighted their audiences with a mixture of holiday tunes and jazz favorites. Overheard, one man telling Bill Ramsey, "You can't find high school kids that play like professionals in the Midwest!"
